Looking back at the season I feel apart from Talbot and Tucker the most impressive manager and team was David Gormley and Rossvale. Although Talbot were the only side to actually win a cup, Rossvale after a slow start took off like a greyhound coming out of the traps when they appointed Gormley they made us work hard in the Scottish Cup tie and may be the team to watch next year. As for the rest
Darvel like to brag but never managed a win in a competitive match against a top league side and were in most peoples opinion set to be knocked out of the Scottish Junior Cup in the replay at Broughty.
Beith had a disappointing season and Pollok were almost a challenger but never quite fulfilled their potential, Glenafton hammered Talbot but were too inconsistent, and Kilwinning had a good season but got thrashed in the Scottish by a team I had never heard off as well as by Hurlford and Talbot.
So what does everyone else think of the soon to be forgotten season that was ended just as things were getting interesting.
Long way left in the season but I think Talbot may have been on the verge of an historic season. League Cup in the bag, in a very strong position in the league, still in the Scottish, in the Champions Cup final and still in the West. A long way to go of course and you can never tell what would have happened but it would have been interesting if the season had played out as normal.
